POTD: Macro Monday

Just popping in quickly to show you an updated macro image of the grapes. We did lose some to the frost I mentioned in my last post about the grapes. There are only a few left on our vines.
Scroll down a couple previous posts to see how they started out.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone is doing well.

Macro Monday…hee hee.
I didn’t get a chance to post this yesterday, so you get it today.
Our grapes are starting to come in. Hopefully the freeze warning we have for tonight doesn’t do any damage.

This is our Easter dessert. (or by the time you read this, it WAS our Easter dessert! lol!)
Homemade angel food cake with strawberries, fresh whipped cream and a drizzle of homemade chocolate sauce.
I just finished reading an excellent book, Plate to Pixel: Digital Food Photography and Styling by Helene Dujardin. It’s all about…well, the title says it all. The author has an easy going writing style and covered each aspect of food photography. She started with the basic of photography and ended with editing. My favorite section was on styling. She has lots of tips and tricks sprinkled throughout the entire book. My favorite tip was using clamps as a stand to hold up a reflector or a piece of white foam board. It was a ”Why didn’t I think of that!” moment for me.
I tried out some of the things I learned on this set up. It didn’t turn out like I pictured in my head, (things rarely do for me), but I still think it looks pretty good.
I hope you enjoyed your Easter holiday. Thanks for stopping by!

They look yummy, hopefully the rest will make it to harvest time.
Yum grapes, one of my favorite snacks. Sorry you lost some of your crop to the weather.
Very nice macros
